A day in the life of the Cashier may include any combination of the below duties (and more!):
- Maintain a “Say Yes to the Guest” attitude by providing remarkable guest service.
- Operate a cash register in an accurate and efficient manner. Collect money, checks, electronic payments, and coupons from the guest and make correct change and assure the security of the cash drawer at all times.
- Scan or ring items accurately and efficiently. Identify and key in department numbers, produce items, UPC numbers, look up numbers, weights, and other items that are unable to scan.
- Assist guests with locating merchandise and answering questions and/or concerns.
- Assist with bagging guest merchandise in a careful manner as necessary.
- Stock and/or face merchandise on store shelves as needed.
- Follow all applicable federal, state and local applicable laws, rules and restrictions.
Perform other duties within the Front-End department or other areas as assigned.

As an employee of Coborn's, Inc., the HBC/GM Department Manager I ensures the successful operation of the department by obtaining maximum sales and gross profits through effective utilization of personnel and resources available. Duties include accurate record keeping, customer service, employee relations, labor, gross profit, expense control, inventory, shrink, public relations, stocking, control freshness by rotating removing out-of-date merchandise, and provide front end support by running a register, bagging or carrying out groceries. Responsible for directing and coordinating the ordering, receiving, merchandising, pricing, freshness, housekeeping of work, display and storage areas, food safety and safety programs. Directing staff to include: directing workload, counseling, training, performance evaluations, and supervision.

As an employee of Coborn's, Inc., the Meat Clerk will maintain a high standard of cleanliness, stock levels and customer service in the meat department. Duties include assisting customers, preparing and displaying items in the service counter, building displays, and stocking shelves, while maintaining overall cleanliness of department.

As an employee of Coborn's, Inc., the Shift Manager provides leadership coverage and manages the store operations in the absence of the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager. Duties include receiving merchandise according to company policies and procedures and prepare the product to go to the floor for merchandising. Performs all aspects of store operations to include: loading/ unloading trucks, transporting merchandise, stocking shelves and coolers, running reports and assisting customers.

Duties include receiving, inspecting for quality and freshness, and stocking product, and assisting customers with product related questions. Will rotate and cull product when necessary.

As an employee of Coborn's, Inc., the Bakery Clerk I assists the Bakery Department by wrapping, packaging, and pricing all products. Duties include maintaining presentable and adequately filled shelves. Answers phones and takes special orders. Controls freshness by coding all products and pulling out of code merchandise daily.

Duties include transporting and placing merchandise in storage areas and on the sales floor. Opens boxes and stocks shelves according to shelf allocation and rotation procedures. Builds displays, controls damaged product, and loads and unloads trucks. Ensures that all customers are receiving the highest quality of service by interacting and providing exceptional customer service.

As an employee of Coborn's, Inc., the Pharmacist oversees the Pharmacy department operations, customer satisfaction and loyalty, and employee management during assigned shifts in a pharmacy. Duties include working closely with all pharmacy staff; pharmacists, technicians, and clerks, including regular, floating and casual staff. Ensures compliance with all company policies and Federal, State and Local laws governing the practice of retail pharmacy. Works closely with the Pharmacy, Store, and Pharmacy District Managers to ensure that site and company initiatives are coordinated and in support of strategic goals and objectives. Assists in driving financial goals and operating the pharmacy department consistent with budget and forecast (i.e. sales, labor, gross margin, CTO, inventory, etc.), and corresponding initiatives.
