Duties include performing all aspects of store operations: running cash registers, bookkeeping, loading/unloading trucks, transporting merchandise to storage areas and sales floor, stocking shelves and coolers, receiving, completing necessary reports, pricing product, ordering product, performing inventory audits, housekeeping and loss control. Will be responsible for opening/closing the store in the absence of the Store Manager and ensures that proper procedures are followed at all times.

Duties include accurate recordkeeping, customer service, employee relations, expense control, inventory, shrink, public relations, stocking, and control freshness by rotating removing out-of-date merchandise. Provides front end support by running a register, bagging or carrying out groceries. Responsible for directing staff when in charge of the department to include: directing workload, counseling, training, performance evaluations, and supervision.

A day in the life of the Cashier may include any combination of the below duties (and more!):
- Maintain a “Say Yes to the Guest” attitude by providing remarkable guest service.
- Operate a cash register in an accurate and efficient manner. Collect money, checks, electronic payments, and coupons from the guest and make correct change and assure the security of the cash drawer at all times.
- Scan or ring items accurately and efficiently. Identify and key in department numbers, produce items, UPC numbers, look up numbers, weights, and other items that are unable to scan.
- Assist guests with locating merchandise and answering questions and/or concerns.
- Assist with bagging guest merchandise in a careful manner as necessary.
- Stock and/or face merchandise on store shelves as needed.
- Follow all applicable federal, state and local applicable laws, rules and restrictions.
Perform other duties within the Front-End department or other areas as assigned.

Loading/unloading trucks, transporting merchandise to storage areas and sales floor, stocking shelves and coolers, completing necessary reports, dating/timing/rotating products, controlling shrink, housekeeping and loss control. - Implement Holiday Procedures and direct staff when in charge of the store. - Order merchandise, check in and verify vendor deliveries.
