    Coborn's is seeking a Data Center Operations/Help Desk employee whose primary focus is to provide professional technical support to end users for issues and questions related to applications, computer, and network and telecom systems. This individual is responsible to log all incoming issues with appropriate detail, troubleshoot, escalate to other resources as necessary, follow up with end users and ensure a timely resolution of technical problems.


    All duties to be performed per the established standard and in compliance with all company policies and procedures while maintaining regular, prompt attendance and availability for overtime as needed:


    Rotating Day Shift:

    • Provide timely professional technical support to end users for all applications, computer, network and telecom systems by managing Data Center Operations/Help Desk tickets from initial contact through resolution, escalating to other resources as necessary and following up with the end users appropriately throughout the communication and resolution process.
    • Collaborate with, and work on projects as assigned by the Data Center Operations Help Desk Supervisor, or by other Level II Analysts during periods that are not spent on the Level 1 Help Desk.
    • Perform proactive & reactive monitoring of networked devices through monitoring tools, and monitor and react to website performance alerts and issues.
    • Log incoming support requests in a timely fashion, and update with appropriate, and accurate detail following pre-defined standards.


    Oter Duties:


    • Perform other duties within the Information Technology department or other areas as assigned.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    • Observe and enforce all company, department & job specific policies, rules, and safety practices.

    • Associate's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related field from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Computer Skills

    • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (versions 2013 and 2016) and email systems.
    • Experience with the administration of common Microsoft operating systems including Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10, Server 2012 & Server 2016.
    • Good working knowledge of network protocols and network devices including hubs, switches, routers and firewalls.
    • Familiarity with common email programs including Microsoft OWA / Outlook / Exchange.
    • Working knowledge of the IBM iSeries platform preferred.

    Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

    • Possess a current state driver’s license and valid insurance with the ability to travel to business locations as needed.

    The tasks of this position generally requires duties to be performed by:

    • Frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs to shoulder height unaccompanied.
    • Occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs to waist height unaccompanied.
    • Regularly sit for duration of shift. 
    • Occasionally required to walk, stand, stoop, climb, or balance. 
    • Coordinated use of hands and fingers to grasp, feel objects, transfer small items from one hand to another, fine manipulation, and bilateral reach with arms.
    • Use of close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • Local and regional travel to meet business goals and objectives on a limited basis.
