    We are looking for a detail oriented Bindery Technician with a good mechanical aptitude and excellent Guest Focus to assist with the printing process of Coborn’s Print Services Department.



    A day in the life of the Bindery Technician include any combination of the below duties (and more!):

    • Cutting finished and unfinished print material utilizing programmable cutting equipment.
    • Shrink wrapping/packaging print material for storage or shipping.
    • Sorting of signage versions according to retail locations.
    • Manually applying padding compound to material which requires padding (i.e. notepads, books, etc).
    • Labeling and distributing printed material to be distributed by the warehouse or by store mail.
    • Die cutting (corner rounding of printed material utilizing single cornering machinery).
    • Filling supply orders for internal Guests.


    The tasks of this position generally requires duties to be performed by:

    • Frequently lift and move up to 40 lbs to shoulder height unaccompanied.
    • Occasionally lift and move up to 60 lbs to waist height unaccompanied.
    • Regularly stand for duration of shift. 
    • Occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch. 
    • Coordinated use of hands and fingers to grasp, feel objects, transfer small items from one hand to another, fine manipulation, and bilateral reach with arms.
    • Use of close/clear vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


    The ideal candidate for this position:

    • is detail oriented;
    • has basic computer skills, exceptional Guest Focus skills, and takes pride in his/her work; 
    • is self-motivated and possesses excellent organization, planning, and time management skills, and is able to multi-task across multiple projects with varying deadlines;
    • previous print shop experience is a plus, but not required.

    A one-year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Must be able to operate Print Services Bindery equipment and machinery and be 18 years of age or older.
